Matchbook fold card made with Catch You Later
What’s the secret to creating cards for guys? Simplicity! I like to start with a combination of cardstock and a neutral printed paper. Lately I’ve been reaching for two specific stamp sets for masculine cards: Catch You Later and Fabulous You.
Great for masculine cards
So versatile! Change the color palette and these birds work for so many cards!

We’re expecting beautiful Fall weather this weekend so I decided today’s card project should be quick and easy. Try it and I’m sure you’ll find time to celebrate World Card Making Day, enjoy the break in the heat and maybe even catch a football game!
Made with Catch You Later
Matchbook cards come together so fast; I’m hooked on them. I love the value too. You can create three card bases with a single piece of 12 x 12 cardstock. Simply cut a strip of paper 4 x 12. Create the bottom fold one inch from the edge. Fold the top down so that the paper meets the inside edge of the bottom fold. The completed card should measure 4 x 5 1/2.
For this card I stamped the chicken wire background from Distressed Backgrounds in Champagne ink over the stamped image from Catch You Later which I had stamped in Saddle. The Champagne Ink is so light I didn’t even need to mask the darker image. I used 3D Foam Tape to create dimension and layered a piece of ribbon across the card for a pop of color.
Thanks for celebrating World Card Making Day with me! I hope you’ll post a link to your card creations in the comments.
