It’s no secret that I am obsessed with the overlays on the Cricut Artbooking cartridge.  I love using them on both my cards and layouts so I was especially excited to see the latest episode of Artbooking Made Easy includes tips for working with these elements.  Give your cards and scrapbook pages color, pattern and dimension with a quick cut from your Cricut!

Artbooking Mini Baby Album

In this week’s episode of Artbooking Made Easy, Monica shares an adorable 8 inch mini baby album made with the Cricut Artbooking cartridge.  She’s got some great tips for layering shapes as well as adding unique envelopes to your albums are included in this quick video.

I decided to give it a try with brighter colors.  I couldn’t wait to play with the overlays and cut the lion in  multiple colors to create dimension following the tips in the video.

Artbooking Made Easy

I love the Artbooking Made Easy video series!  These quick episodes never fail to inspire me to get out my Cricut and create.  In fact, the first time I saw the Art Philosophy cartridge I knew I would become a consultant.  I signed up the very next day!  I’d purchased stamps and inks before, but nothing had ramped up my creative mojo like that cartridge!  I couldn’t believe all of the projects, cards and scrapbook pages I saw created with elements from Art Philosophy.  I just love how easy it is to add that WOW! factor to my projects, especially when cutting the perfect shape to work with a stamp.  Artiste made three dimensional elements so simple to create.  It became my go to answer for party favors, hostess gifts and more.  Artbooking is the perfect addition to the collection.  I love how everything is perfectly sized based on the size of my album.  Plus, I am addicted to the overlays!

I hope this edition of the video series will inspire you to get your Cricut running!  Be sure to comment and tell me your favorite way to use the cartridges.
